Well-known landmarks all over the world switched off their lights for an hour on Saturday evening as a part of an environmental consciousness marketing campaign, Earth Hour.
The Eiffel Tower in Paris, Rome’s Colosseum and the Parthenon in Athens have been all used within the switch-off.
New Delhi’s Akshardham temple, the Sydney Opera Home and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona additionally joined in.
Earth Hour is organised by the World Vast Fund for Nature and it encourages folks to show off their lights for 60 minutes to lift consciousness of environmental points.
